About florida.camp

The most complete guide to camping in the Sunshine State

Our Mission

Florida has some of the most diverse camping in the United States — from pristine Gulf beaches and crystal-clear freshwater springs to the vast Everglades wilderness and the coral reefs of the Keys. But finding the right campground shouldn't be harder than setting up a tent in the rain.

That's why we built florida.camp. We're creating the most comprehensive, up-to-date directory of every campground in Florida — state parks, national forests, national parks, county parks, RV resorts, and hidden gems that most people have never heard of.

What Makes Us Different

Most camping websites treat Florida as an afterthought — a few popular parks buried in a national database. We're Florida-only and Florida-obsessed. Every campground on our site has been researched individually. We include the details that actually matter to campers: hookup types, max RV lengths, whether your dog is welcome, what makes each place special, and honest descriptions you can trust.

What You'll Find

Our directory currently covers 89 campgrounds across all 8 Florida regions, including 54 state parks, 9 national forest campgrounds, 5 national parks and preserves, 13 private RV resorts, county parks, state forests, and national seashores. We're adding more campgrounds regularly — Florida has over 170 state parks alone, plus hundreds of county, private, and federal camping options.
